           With the aim to ensure the availability of public information to citizens, ensure transparency in public administration and to make it responsible, I Mahaveer Yadav, Director General, Prisons Administration and Reform Services, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow while exercising the powers under section 5 (1) of “ Right to Information Act-2005” by Government of India nominate the Public Information Officers according to the attached list from all zonal offices of Inspector General offices, all central prisons/district prisons/sub jails/ camps located in all districts of the state, Jail depot, Lucknow and Sampurnanand Jail Training Institute, Lucknow located in my subordinate Prisons Directorate General, State.

In Section-4 of “Right to Information Act-2005” for every public authority certain specific expectations have been stated, that are also to be implemented within 120 days from enactment date June 15, 2005. Under Section-3 of the act all citizens are offered Right to Information on legal grounds while staying in the borders of this act.

Therefore, a copy of the stated Act is attached along with these instructions so that the general public can be made aware about important points/instructions of the act. Moreover, the Zonal Deputy Inspectors of Prisons are also directed to conduct a meeting in this relation to give Self-directed clear directions to all related officers so that all desired actions can be accomplished within set deadline. At the same time, by its adequate publicity it is also directed to make general public aware about it along with undersigned through integrated action.

The order will come into force with immediate effect.
